90's Music: How has the music changed from 1960's to the 1990's? What does this change mean? What do you think of the music? What does it say about the 90's?

Music has changed drastically from the 60's to the 90's from genres to music instruments especially. In the 60's The Beatles sang mostly about love, but has we move up one decade, the 70's, their lyrics change and they sing about acid trips and getting high. They begin to use Indian instruments in their music in George Harrison's favor. In addition rock and roll sky rocketed in the 70's and is consider the age of rock and roll. Entering the 80's rock and roll was no where close to being as great as it was in the previous decade. At the end of 80's hip-hop and gangster rap took form. Furthermore alternative music sparked in the 90's as well with Nirvana and other popular bands. I think it's insane how music gets morphed and how some genres promote others. Music will always evolve it will never stay the same. Most of the rap lyrics reflect on the artist's hard times and their struggles such as Tupac and Biggie-smalls. Overall their lyrics really do symbolize the struggle the decade was having because in reality it wasn't a great decade for america.
